Adult Co-Ed Spring Season 2024

Wetaskiwin Soccer Club will be offering Adult Co-ed Soccer through the Leduc Adult Soccer (LAS) league. We recognize that there is a need for our community to offer active adult sports programming, and that's what we aim to do!

At this time, players must be 16 years of age before April 1 in order to participate in Adult Co-ed Soccer. If this changes, we will let you know.

The Leduc Adult Coed League (LACL) is an 8vs8 coed league sanctioned and insured by the Alberta Soccer Association. The league welcomes players from all genders and skills and offer a fun and competitive environment to play soccer in Leduc. All games are played on Sunday afternoons. Each team plays one game per week. All games are played on U11 regulation size fields at Lede Park in Leduc (3719 48 ave, Leduc, AB t9e 3c3, map here).

Season Starts in the first week of May (weather dependent) and last for 14 weeks. Game days are on Sundays throughout the summer, schedules TBA.

$100 registration fee includes 14 weeks of soccer, insurance provided by the Alberta Soccer Association, referees, training materials, and support from ASA Certified Coaches.
Jerseys will be provided by Wetaskiwin Soccer Club. We require a $50 uniform deposit. There is also the option to purchase your jersey, with a cost of $50. Only jerseys will be provided by WSC, players will be required to provide their own black shorts, shinpads, and cleats.

Players are to wear appropriate equipment for the sport of outdoor soccer: outdoor soccer cleats, socks, shin pads, shorts. No jewelry (as per Law 4 of the game). We do have a store where you can purchase your own jersey with whatever number you prefer and also have an option to put your last name on it. You will have to provide your own shorts which can be purchased through our store.

The game of outdoor soccer is played with 7 players and a goalie on each team. Each half is 35 minutes. Teams are asked to play with a minimum of one female player at all time. If a team is not able to have one women at all time on the field, that team will have to play short one player when the female player is not on the field. Teams can agree to waive the “one women at all time” rule at any point during the game, as long as they advise the referees, however once the rule is waived, it will not be reversed for the rest of the game.

Starting with the 2018 outdoor season, there will be no slide tackle authorized in the coed league (even by a goalkeeper).
